THE CAMERON WILLIAM SELMON SCHOLARSHIP

CAMERON WAS A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE IN THE CLASS OF 2014. UNFORTUNATELY, HIS DREAMS WERE SHATTERED WHEN HIS LIFE WAS ENDED BY SENSELESS VIOLENCE ON OCTOBER 22, 2015.
IN THE SPIRIT OF REMEMBERING CAMERON’S LIFE AND HELPING OUR YOUTH ACCOMPLISH THEIR DREAMS, J4CC IS PLEASED TO OFFER THIS SCHOLARSHIP.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Complete Application
  • High School Senior: Residing in Shelby County (TN)
  • GPA: 2.5 Minimum (Transcript)
  • College Acceptance Letter
  • Essay: Please share your thoughts on gun violence, and how it has become an epidemic in our city. How can you become a champion and take a stand against gun violence? (minimum of 500 words)

AWARD INFORMATION

  • Number of Finalists to be announced
  • All finalists will receive an awarded scholarship of $1,000 each.
